Default Great day at my garage

Even though the tempurature hit over 90 degrees today and the humidity was high it didn't put a damper on a nice day in my garage.
My friend just installed Vintage air in the silver coupe and after I charged it he is cool as a cucumber.
The blue 65 belongs to another friend and is an original A/C car and I am evacuating the system in preparation for a recharge with R-12.
The 55 Chevy is a friends who did a full body off restoration and we pushed it from his house up the street onto my lift.
We are bleeding the brakes and double checking everything before he puts it back on the road.
What better way to spend a Sunday then with a bunch of friends and old cars.
Sorry guys but there was no beer.
Joe

Sounds like a great get-together, next time supply beer and you'll have more show up. The weather sounds muggy. This is the time of year when the rest of the nation envies the Pacific Northwest. We're in the high 70's, low 80's with 40% humidity. Perfect. The other 9 months suk though.

Thanks for the complements.
When I purchased the house. the garage was 18 x 40 and falling down. I jacked up the entire garage and dug and poured a footing under the walls and then a row of block and let the garage down.
At that time I extened the garage by 6' which gave the demension of 24 x 40'.
In 99 I was going to purchase a trailer to store one of the cars and my wife said "no trailers in the driveway, why don't you extend the garage?"
After picking myself up from the ground, I extended the garage again adding 22 x 24' to the front.
I am a lucky guy!

from the Pacific Northwest. After 22 years of living in the Portland area; I lost count of summer auto events with less than dry weather.

I've only been here 58 years but rained out summer events are very rare in the Seattle area. It hasn't rained in over 2 weeks and none in the forecast. I guess I'm glad I don't live in Portland. Glad you enjoy your 4 months of 100°+. I know, it's a dry heat. I used to say that when we entered a structure fire at 1200°+. Too hot for me.

Default Nice

Nice collection for the day. I see an Olds in the corner. It looks pretty good. How do you keep your garage looking like something out of a magazine.

Thanks,
I try to keep things as organized as possible but I do a lot of work out of this garage for myself and others in the hobby. Now if I could only charge them!
That Olds is my 442 W-30 4 spd conv.

I have that project going on at my house at the moment. The big challenge was tying into the existing hip roof. Have to remove most of the roof behind the addition in order to tie in the trusses to continue the roof line:

I wanted to get a lift like you have but I also wanted A/C. I don't have enough room in the budget for both so I'm going for the A/C (mini split system).

Joe- that was a great sight in the garage! Steve- you should put that up under a whole new garage build thread if you haven't already!

I'll get my photos in order later today and start a thread. The garage addition is much further along than that picture I posted.

Default Cardboard

I'm liking the cardboard on the floor under the car. My garage looks like that too.

Joe, like the collection of toys!

You guys and your huge garages...luv it!! Now, if I could just convince my neighbor to ignore our 10' easement, I could expand ours. You never have enough garage.
