63 SWC Sota blast to Sebring Silver
Just did the Sota Blast Yesterday Looks pretty scary going from black to correct Sebring Silver I thought I had a SWC that was accident
free the good news is that the body guy said the repair was done correctly you couldent see anything till we stripped it .
Look like they put a new surround from mid fenders to the front
We did find some bondo we are going to dig out and replace .Does anyone know if the stainless will come off easy with out bending it around the window.
Thinking off leaving it on it fits tight at top and botton I did get it off the rear windows with out damage .This is a up hill battle that I thought about for a long time to take a perfecily good looking SWC and go backwards to get the correct factory paint job. I could off taken the easy way out and gone back to Tuxedo blackThe rear looks pretty good never hit in back ,a little on right rear not major. Here are some pictures before and after will keep ya posted. Old paint was Acrylic Enamel. going to base coat clear coat.It was painted black twice along the way through the years felt I had to take it all way down. The vechile was a complete fram off sometime around 1993 Calfornia car .

One of the first things I look at is the fit and finish of the stainless around the base of the windshield and around the rear windows.
What I can tell you is this......the "Vast Majority" of restored '63s have a poor fit on the trim.

Its real tight and no fit problems painter says he will put extra laber to hand sand and finish to where you cant tell I am tending to go that way .The rear I took of myself it had the soft black dum dum and was easy to take off .Front Window is dated correct and trim
was real hard fit like cemment .
