Default Lifting c2 2 post

For the first time I placed my car on a 2 post lift. I have a 4 post.
The rear of the car sagged to the point that the flex made the interior light come on . convertible. The car has a new frame Collier . I placed the the jacking legs just in front of the back tires
Would this be a shiming issue ?

Don't understand the phrase: "new frame Coiler".

But no, it should not flex that much.

I have had my 65 on a two post lift many times with no problems. When lifting the car by the frame the only thing that can sag is the rear wheels, for the body to sag the frame would have to sag..

Yes, you will see the rear door jam open when the car is on a 2 post lift. Where did you place the front jacking points? Movement at the front of the door shouldn't be enough to allow the interior lights to come on..

What is "a new frame Coiler?"

Placed jack placement just behind front tires.
Collier is a company in Niagara falls that produces corvette frames.
Under door post.

I have been researching aftermarket frames for a C2 and was not familiar with Collier.

After viewing their website, it looks interesting but your "sagging" problem is worrisome. I would definitely contact them with questions and photos of the problem and the door gaps---

The switches for the courtesy lights are in the front door jamb, not the rear. The switches are located in the area where the door hinges mount to the front door jamb.

THAT's why I'd be concerned.

The plunger travel on one of the door light switches could be very sensitive requiring just a hairs movement to make contact. I had one like that. I ended up placing a silicone shim on the door contact point. So your slight frame flexing might be within the norm.

The Collier frame is made primarily from 2x4 steel tubing, not from fabricated stampings, and is not as stiff in either torsion or bending as the stock frame; should be no surprise that it has sag issues.

I am hoping it isn't the bird cage causing the flex. The frame is strong. Might also be a shim issue, Will take a closer look . Got her back on my lift.
