63 brake master cylinder date code
A friend has a 63 Corvette manual brake master cylinder. It has the correct 7/8 marking and the part number on the bottom.
What is puzzling to us is the date code. The date code on this master cylinder is L302. Does that translate to December 30, 1962 (which was a Sunday).
Was the character I used in date codes on these master cylinders? If not, then they went from H (August) to J (September), and this would make L November (and not December).
November 30, 1962 was a Friday.

I think the L302 date code translates to Dec. 30, '62.
I can't find a reference that says 'I' was not used.
