Resto-mod seat options
Still early in the build, but would like to decide on seats so I have the mounting holes in the correct spot now while doing all the body work.
I want a seat that will hold me in place from side to side and sit low enough for me to see out the windshield. I've seen some builds use c5/c6 seats with the headrest cut down, which is one option. I have a roadster so don't want anything to stick up too high but also give me some head support.
Some other options I've found are Procar Rally seats. These will barely fit in at 22" wide in a 23" space, but have seen comments about them sitting up high. About $600/pr without covers.
Paul Atkins makes a seat frame for corvettes. $1500 a pair includes foam but without covers.
Fiero seat are another option. Ebay for $500.
Then there's Caravaggio. Beautiful, but $$$.
Heated seats would be nice and electric controls.
Anybody have any other options.
Thanks
Ken

How about C4 seats? They are cheap and offer a lot of side support. I used them in my wife's '62, cut the headrests off and widened the tops so the backs would fit under the soft top lid.
I am also using them in my '59 with the headrests intact.

Restomod Seats?
I would also like to see any restomod seats options.
I have the original 62 seats (not for sale) but considering options.
Pictures would be appreciated.....

Excellent link but stop staring at me. You're creeping me out.
There are some bolt in custom seats for our C-1s I have seen at Carlisle but can't recall the brand. They reclined about an inch which is kind of strange but were very comfortable.

This is what I'm going to do. Got this pic/idea from another member here. Says it sits you down and back further then stock. Looks kinda stock also.
They're Shelby Cobra seats.

I am only 5'-9", 160# so I can slide the seat forward quite a bit, also the C4 seats have a rake adjustment so you can place the back in a more upright position. In the picture below I have a metal racing seat installed on the driver side, but I have a matching C4 seat for the drivers side also. It is a tight fit.

Wise Guys makes a variety of bucket seats in different widths and heights which will work in Corvettes. You can buy the frames, foam kits or a completed seats.

Fiero seats in leather. Saves 32 pounds over stock seats and do recline until hitting back panel. Installs in stock location and you sit lower then stock seat and side support. Should be about $200 on E-Bay then recover as you like.

Some great links here. Fiero and Miata seats look popular for vettes.

"These will barely fit in at 22" wide in a 23" space, but have seen comments about them sitting up high".
I have the Pro Car ELITE seat, which is slightly wider and taller than the RALLY. I sat in a RALLY seat and found it was too narrow between the seat thigh bolsters, and I am slim. The ELITE seat is an inch or so wider between the bolsters, and wider overall, but it does fit in the car, albeit snuggly, but it is fine. I also had the top of the headrest cut down slightly.
Also, I did a slight mod to the Pro Car seat bracket. They are designed to fit ON TOP of the rear "U" bracket that bolts to the floor, whereas the org. seats slide into that "U" bracket. I removed the "U" bracket and bolted the rear track directly to the floor (some minor cutting and welding of the rear track cross member is needed to lower the seat a full 1.25", if desired). I found this to be too low (I'm 5'-11") so I added some spacers so the seat is about 5/8" lower.

Another thing to consider. You can't have a head rest that supports your head and at the same time is visually "low", unless you are under 5'-6". My headrest is just barely level with the center of my mellon...I can't imagine it being any lower, and effective.
