Default Barrett Jackson Award

The five finalists were all big dollar cars built by big name builders. I mean big $$$$$ dollars cars. Wish they had a, Built not bought, award for the real car guys who build their own cars.

I watched alot of the BJ Reno auction. Why did that 63 fuelie convertible bring $175,000?

Cape I also wondered why $175,000 for the 63 FI roadster. Later when a nicer Corvette came up one of the annoucers said that this car had all the documentation not like the 63 which had none!! A younger guy bought the 63.

I too think they need to expand the awards to include nice home built cars. A separate category if you will. I also think Corvettes in general did very well in the auctions.

I think I did see them give another award to someone at HAN who had an old blue Dodge Hemi. I think it was for $1000 and it was a regular guy.

I always record and watch Barrett-Jackson and the various Mecum Auctions and thought this inaugural edition of B-J Reno was less than spectacular. There were a bunch of cars a lot nicer, particularly the Corvettes at Hot August Nights than at the auction. I also didn't see the regular cast of characters bidding as at other auctions. Hope the upcoming Las Vegas B-J s better.
