I thought I heard something!!!

Default Wow

I am so glad you got your car back. Those SOB's who took it need to be dealt with. I can't believe they just left it on the street. Greg.

Very happy for you and very excited to see the support group that went into motion. I have had enough of the mentality that insurance will cover it so it gets no police attention.
This is grand theft and needs to be treated like a Bank robbery. Many of those don't net a $50,000 prize. At this point all repairs will seem like nothing compared the potential loss.

You might put the word out to the santa clara corvette club to look out for the top, Also try san jose area corvette shops like Northstar or Synergy.

Thanks for the link, but unfortunately this isn't our top.

The hardtops are specific to '61 & '62 due to the ridge notched into the bottom of the rear window. This is to compensate for the center line ridge that was placed onto the trunk and up through the deck lid.

Additionally, this was the C2 rear change that took place on the C1 Corvettes.

It's still crazy as I had that hardtop up above in my garage rafters for 19 years. My wife talked me into taking it down and I spent a large amount of time restoring the top.

We just got tired of sitting in the sun and having the top on the car was something that really gave it a different look!

This was the 2nd time out that we had the top on the car.

The top was also russo red in color with a white headliner. The rear window was original as it polished up extremely well. The side windows were replaced as well as all stainless polished and weatherstripping replaced.

It truly does look as close to brand new as possible!

I've been searching craigs list as well as ebay.

It will have to show up somewhere!

Pat

Thanks Steve and Kristin!

I may take you up on that! I don't know how much is destroyed under the dash.

I just don't want to touch it until the adjuster has a chance to document everything.
