1959 Corvette Jack & Handle

1959 Corvette Jack & Handle
I am almost finished restoring my 1959 Corvette. I am still missing an original jack & handle. Like most of the Corvette components, is the jack date coded also? I heard that jacks weren't date coded until the 1960's or 1970's. I have seen reproduction jacks, but they all say don't use them. Why? Does anyone know where I can get a jack & handle for my 1959 Corvette born around March 6, 1959? Thanks!
Another question - does the original lug wrench for a C1 have an "O" stamped on it? I have seen some advertised with and without the "O".

They say not to use them or "For Show Only" thanks to the attorneys that sue any manufacturer because some dumb @ss gets hurt doing something stupid.
You can remove that inner sleeve on the repros to make the jack functional. I've actually used mine with no issues but (lawyers again) I make no statement as to the wisdom of you doing so....
Attached is a short 'how to' in order to make the repro jacks work.
Finding original jacks is a tough gig and they command eye-watering prices in many cases -- such as the '62 jacks. I can only wish you good luck in your search and tell you to dig deep into your wallet when you find one.

The jack you need for your car is not dated. You can use any 53 to 61 jack. An original jack will run about eight to nine hundred dollars where the reproductions our little over 200.

Secret.
IF, IF, IF a person should be fortunate enough to locate an early 50s abandoned, unmolested 1/2ton Chevy pickup out in a field, check to see if it might still have the jack-------------------------------IT'S THE SAME JACK AS 53-61 VETTES!!!
I gave a guy $10 for the jack from his old pickup.

It looks like the real deal but the top is bent on one end. I think you can find a better jack for less money. Another one will turn up if you're not in a hurry.

I've posted this 2-3 times in the past, and there has been little to no interest. Just another poke in the eye which discourages me from providing information on this forum.
This is the jack I bought several years ago from an elderly gentleman who told me he bought his 53 pickup new. We were talking about old cars and the conversation came around to my 56 Vette. I mentioned that I was looking for a scissors jack, since that was the type of jack that came in them from the factory. He said that he had an old scissors jack which came in his 53 pickup when he bought it new from an Okla City Chevy dealer.
The jack was in perfect condition, with extremely minor surface rust. I thoroughly cleaned it up in solvent, rinsed off the solvent with brake cleaner and painted it satin black. Used it once to change a flat tire on the boat trailer when coming back from the lake (YES, I sometimes tow a jet boat with the 56). Haven't touched it since.
