Ya, I started this one because Barn Finds is the rage!
I wasn't expecting backyards!!! But if that's the case-- We could film Wrong Turn #7 there with a Corvette theme!!!! Cool, except for the Eastern Diamondbacks!

Melting Slicks
Here are a few more pics of Lincolns. I used to go there every chance I got and picked up some hard to find pieces for mine there in the early 70s. They literally had anything you needed and many a race car began its second life here and some ended it there too. I suspect the value of the real estate in that area contributed to its eventual demise. I believe Pacific Corvette bought out the remaining inventory when they closed their doors. It was a typical old school wrecking yard of the time and it was kind of sad to see it go. Spent quite a few hours dreaming of the possibilities in those days. In fact it was a visit there that convinced me to paint mine red and white as on one of my visits there was a pristine red and white 61 out front and I knew right then and there that is the look that I wanted to emulate.

Here's the shot of Lincoln's I took in around 76, very cool boneyard. Lots of you have seen this before. I walked around the yard with my jaw down around my chest.
Some of you guys might be driving some of these right now!

Burning Brakes
I think I have one bought it nearly 20 years ago smashed rh front and rh rear bent frame and diff lh sill was cut off only trim left on car was door posts and windscreen frame and one window. No idea of history no vin number and I never found a number on the frame I had a new zealand vin fixed in 1994 and rebuilt over the years. Win shows no proplem.

Back "in the day" there was a guy DEEP in South Carolina named Floyd Richardson who had a Corvette-only 'yard. He was a HUGE fat guy who lived with his VERY young wife in a single-wide trailer on the grounds. We used to walk that 'yard a few times a year back in the '70s & '80s; in-between breaths he would tell us the "story" on each and every car - MANY of them were crashes that resulted in fatalities. I remember seeing the speedometer needle PEGGED on what was left of one '68 BB Coupe - a frozen testament to an "Oh Sh*t Moment"...
I would visit regularly for many years up until he sold the stuff off. Do you remember seeing the 56 Corvette car hauler, or the 64 with the 409? He claimed the 409 to be original. He had a room full of fuel units, and also had a Barris car in the garage, with the 53 body.

I also got a few parts at Lincoln's back in the 70's. It was nice because at that time you couldn't much from the dealers and there was no aftermarket. It makes me wonder how much was scrapped when they sold out because not sure if Pacific had the space Lincoln's did.
