Yes it looks like a "D", but April 27, 1960 is confusing. It's a early production '60 engine by the numbers stamped. And as mentioned it appears to be a 1960 vin.
I'd have thought for that early vin# it'd be a '59 cast block. Maybe others can take a look. Maybe ask on the General forum and link to these posts.

67 427 Roadster Window Sticker
I have the original window sticker from my 67 427/390 sidepipe Goodwood green roadster VIN 194377S 102384. Does anyone currently own this car? I always wondered if it survived. It was ordered in August 1966 and I took delivery in November of 1966. It came from upstate NY.
