This 1965 Corvette engine has original stamp pad from car production number 19912, F0630HE
casting number"870"
casting date E of '65
heads are 461's dated F of '65
Has "490" intake and '66 aluminum valve covers
Has balancer, water pump, distributor, bell housing, flywheel and clutch.

Wondering if the Vette that matches this engine is still out there.

There is also a M20 dated P0630, but no VIV numbers?

Ok..I have spent years restoring my 63 convertible corvette.
I am finally ready to get the engine rebuilt and put it in the restored frame, etc.
I should have done this before but oh well.
I don't have the numbers matching engine. ouch....
The engine I have is from a 63 fuel injected car so I am sure that car would love to have this engine back.
It is 3104451 FI0I0RF
Date code J 5 2 so built in october 1962.

If the owner of 65 corvette 01626 lives on here, your original fuel injection unit is on ebay. I checked and the vin not listed on the c2 regestry.

Hi Guys,
I have the original 327 for the 4352nd 1965 Corvette built.

The block is out of a 65 Corvette with a Build Date of 12/64. The Block is Casting Number 3782870 which shows up as a 1962-1967 2 Bolt Main 327 Block. The Date Code on the back shelf of the block is K 21 4 (November 21, 1964). The Pad Reads S104352F1127HP. The F1127HP is the Flint Mich. assembly date for the block. The 11 is November and 27 it the day in Nov. The HP is for a 327/300 hp with Powerglide Transmission. The Heads are 461 Castings with a casting date of K 24 4 (November 24, 1964).

This 327 is specified for the 4352nd 1965 Corvette built. If someone reads this post and they have the Corvette with V.I.N. 194675S104352 for a convertible or 194375S104352 for a coupe, this is the original motor.

I am looking for a comparable trade for replacement. This 327 is for my 57 Chevy.
