Need measurments for trunk spear install
The 58 that I am restoring was midway through an attempted restoration when I got it. The car has the original spears but the trunk lid is not original and has no indication of where to drill the holes for mounting the spears. If anyone has or knows whre I coulf find these numbers I would be veryu greatful. Thanks

58 Trunk Spear Mounting Holes
I doubt if you will find any dimensional location (Assembly Manual?). Here is what I would try:
Locate a 58 trunk with the correct holes. Lay a large piece of thin vellum paper across the hood and tape it snugly. Use the centerline as a reference and then mark/punch holes in the vellum. Then transfer the vellum to your trunk and orient it with the centerline reference, tape it down and then mark your holes.
