Your picture suggests that you have a 61. Do you plan to remove the dash cluster or are you looking for someone to do everything from start to finish?

I am having the gauges rebuilt so I'll pull it out of the 61.

FWIW, I had the Bowtie Shop in Billerica, MA repaint mine along w/ some other bits and pieces last winter; they did a great job. It may be a bit far from the Cape.

I don't recall the precise amount for the cluster, but it was reasonable.

My cluster was badly rusted. I found a local auto-paint guy (who's into old cars!). He blasted, prepped (and even welded a bubba-hole in the cluster), primed, and painted (twice - first attempt at Jewel Blue was wrong) for $120. It came out perfect.

I'm 3000 miles away from you.. but I think this is 'standard stuff' for any competent auto-body shop.

I would find someone local that does it. Either a old car guy like he mentioned or a high line repair shop.. only reason i say that is if its a old car guy it will be very good and if it high line repair shop it will be good.. Not to many people drop off a bmw or porsche for bad paint job

Id do your research though, find the color it should be then get them to show you on the color chart. The way paint has changed over the years there is no way to get it exact.

I would NOT ship it some place thats for sure..

I found a local body shop that will paint my gauge housing. The car is roman red, does anyone know the paint code for the housing?

That is a steal! You can't even buy a quart of paint, reducer, hardener and primer for that much.

At least, I can't without any discount.

I share this link with a caveat: My painter followed the code on this site for Jewel Blue, and it was several shades too light. Ended up having to match it manually.

Yes - he did it at cost.. He's hoping to get the job of painting the body soon!
