End of the season tour, a few pics.
Well, seems like it was just yesterday when I was posting some snaps of the season's first event, but here we are at the end of Oct and most of us in the north east are tucking things away for the winter.
Our local chapter had an end of season run last Sunday, late in the season and it was a last minute thing, so we only had 12 cars, but it was a nice afternoon and a good excuse to get out for one last run together.
A lot of the pics are through the original windshield on my '67, so not the clearest.
And finally my buddy Irving tops-up for the trip home.

Beautiful
Awwesome pics, FawnDuece, thanks so much. We cannot wait to trailer our 63 C2 Conv up to visit the family in NY (White Plains area) next summer, and cruise on those beautiful roads with the curves and trees. For now we stay in FLA, and I am relegated to straight line highways 90% of the time. But the view of the beach and water makes it nice. Thanks for the photos, and... Hey, the view through that 46 year old windshield looks pretty darn good. Drive safe!

almost forgot...
BTW, tell that guy in the last photo with the red vette, his is my favorite (sorry, yours is awesome too, but I am distracted by bright red objects...that's how I bought mine!)

Nice shots Paul. I'm always amazed at the number of old Vettes in La Belle Provence, even this late in the season. Are most of the owners English or French?
I trust you aren't neglecting your 62 now that you're a two classic owner. Fawn beige forever!

Thanks guys, always fun to get out with your car buds and blow out a few cobwebs, the quazi premise was a run to Ontario for some cheap(er) gas and booze .
That's my bud Jean, he's always the last of the diehards.
He drives that car everywhere in the north-east all season, pretty much has to be snow on the ground (salt) before he parks it. He's only about 5'6", so he's low in the car and wears a winter coat with this huge collar, wish I had a pic.
Hey Rob,
A mixture of English, french and frenglish, we all get along great and have fun.
We actually ended up not that far from you in Cornwall via the scenic route, always a nice drive along the St-Lawrence river on highway 2 .
I did have the '62 out for another event about four weeks ago, again near you in Alexandria for a big interprovince Corvette club charity BBQ at a member's farm, about 200 Vettes from QC and ON.
Been traveling so much lately, I don't think I ever got around to posting any pics though... ?

Real nice pics, Paul
Would love to have been there with you guys. A bunch of us Cdn Forum guys from the Toronto area did a nice end-of-season cruise to Deerhurst last Sunday. 42 Corvettes with a couple of C3's and C4's but all the rest C5/6's. I brought the only C2 but there was nothing earlier to represent the classics.
I do wish more folks around here would drive their older Vettes more often, 'cause out of 42 cars it sucks having ALL the attention to myself!
Love timeless images like this, too:
COOL plate BTW! A Led Zep fan like me wishes for that on my '65.

Fantastic pics, thanks for sharing, and I've got to say that takes me back to my youth. To see nothing except the first 2 generations in several of the shots is priceless!
I love my C-4 but some day I'm going to pick up a "friend" for it and those shots make me want to do it now.

Love the black and white shot. so much, in fact, that I dug my new camera out to play with all the new settings. including sepia and b&w.
It's just soooo sad to see all those beautiful Corvettes cruising down the road, each driven by lone drivers with no pretty girls along side. it must be tough for you old guys??

Love to see the US & Canadian Corvette coalition forces FawnDeuce, I was obviously up past my bedtime yesterday when I remarked your 46 yr old windshield glass was in exceptionally good shape...I just realized your windshield is 52 years young! That's what I get for doing big math...

The day was fairly cold and windy, so only two brave souls of the feminine variety ventured out with us, the wife of the organizer on the left, and probably the most patient tolerant and understanding woman in the world on the right, yup she's the one who put's up with me!
