Just purchase 60 vin# 00867S109478
It has replacement NJ vin replacement sticker on door post.
Nothing on steering.
Has been in storage 20 years.
QQ plates so approved by state.
Any ideas why no standard vin plate? Theft recovery/ accident.....no damage.
I'm in Northern NJ. would like some advice about car in general.
Please pardon my lack of knowledge.

Congrats. on buying a 60. I've had mine almost 40 years. Your original VIN tag was spot welded to the steering column in the engine compartment. They have a history of being knocked off. That could possibly be your situation but more a likely explanation is it's a theft recovery.

Welcome to the CF. I can't speak about a C-1, but it would be very helpful to the C-1 guys if you would provide more details about your car, especially good digital pics of exterior, interior, engine compartment, colors etc. Dennis

1960 roman red with white coves.
Red interior. 4 speed manual. Evidently 1958 engine, but not confirmed.
Red hardtop, white soft.
Need to replace fluids and clean tank and lines before starting. Engine free.
Showing 60m miles . Parked since early 90's. 1,000 mile between 1983-95.
Nice driver....we'll see if I am in over my head.
Had a "58 in high school back in '78......don't know much about them so I am sure you will all be hearing from me.
Thanks

Default 60 vette

Hello Rob1961,
Located in Upper Saddle River.
I know that there are several earlier Corvettes in the area. See them around town. When I pick up the car I will let you know.
I would like any information you can pass along.
I go by/through Fairlawn all the time.
