The primer is Glasurit 285-81.......high build, low shrinkage and will dry sand with 800.
We thought about black but I just can't do it. all my black trim black anodized billet aluminum pieces will get lost in it.
Here is what we went with. A little custom work in the paint mixing room to come up with this. I am happy with the color as I think it will look killer with the black trim. It opens up a lot of choices for the interior color........black, lipstick red, tan, etc ect. The smooth firewall and the hours spent custom building the inner fender wells finally have paid off. The battery and brake pump are all hidden behind the inner fenders so this will be one clean engine compartment. I am very happy. Hope you like it.

Mark, that hood looks great, can I assume that you are gluing down the cookie sheets verses screwing them? Its premature now but I have to show you my inside hood. Lets just say we think in a similar manner. Brian

This is the only part of the car I have not fully engineered. I am looking a having the "cookie sheets" built out of billet aluminum......CNC....water jet....dont know yet. I have some ideas in my head and having Kris Horton do some renderings. Yes, here I about have the car done and I am having him draw the car. (Non Supporting Vendor link removed)

You all know this is the point in the build when you want to post 100 pictures on your car. My goodness it was very nerve racking to change the paint color at the last second. Is it the right shade, will I mess up the build, what if I don't like it. Well, I love it. It is so sick I just can't stop looking at it. Its a real boost to get it over the hill like this. P.S. the paint work is flawless

I know how you feel. I hate choosing non stock paint color, but dislike using a stock color more, so I spend a lot of time worrying about how color will look on body.
I like grays and charcoal colors on Coupes, because to be it gives them a classier look. Your choice of color will give you a lot of interior colors to choose from too. I fine a woman input on that to be a befit. Used 3 interior designers input on my first 64 build. They all picked the same color for interior. Scared me to death to go with it, but they were right.

Love how the flares look like it was born that way. Paint color really shows the lines perfectly. I wouldn't mind pulling up a chair and staring at it with ya.
