Lots of work in the door panels!!! The rear compartment is 7 days of work.
thanks
thank you Earl.
The rear of the car is my favorite at this point. Those are stock LED taillights with machined aluminum trim rings. The exhaust cut out was a labor of love. I have way too much time in it but I really wanted something different. I did change out the outer rims on my 3 piece rear wheels to bring the tires inside the wheel lip. I have never taken apart a 3 piece wheel before so it was a new experience. The rear lower valance was glassed in so it is one piece. It was very interesting putting the body back on the frame with the tank installed. I just wanted the rear of the car smooth.

Fine Job! I can appreciate the number of hours that goes into the details. You visualize something, then work, work, work, to make it into reality. True car craziness....

Mark, I love the way those new wheels fit tucked under, that was worth the change out. You set the bar so high with your creativity and execution that I just have to say bravo! Brian

I am easing into the driving part. It has 2000 feet on it so far. The longest trip was 2 blocks to the alignment shop. With a gentle touch on the throttle it has power. 525 hp is pretty respectable in this light car. I am a little careful right now.......when you build a car from scratch you expect something not to work but so far all is good. I have a slight vibration in the driveshaft to diagnose before putting the hammer down. Brakes feel good, all gauges working, shifts real nice. Its my first hydraulic clutch and its a little tight. You need a decent left leg to hang around in slow traffic.

I'm sure you know this but check the front tire clearance to the fender with the wheels turned and figure some upward suspension travel. I couldn't drive mine that low without the tire rubbing the fender.

I had intended on having some custom hood trays machined but have not found time to get this done. We painted the factory trays satin black for a temporary solution. I am heading to the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona this week for the show so we built some custom trays today. They are kind of growing on me. Factory painted trays on right and new version on the left. They are aluminum with stainless bolts.

finally a hood tray I can say I really like, you've shown great imagination and talent in this build. Nice color and contrast with the trim. I've just drooled all over the keyboard..

thank you!
Oh cool that makes me happy about the tray's as I knew it would be dangerous territory. I think they fit right in with the theme of the car. The colors ended up coming together at the last minute and I am very happy with the outcome. I love the art of the build and I am very satisfied.
