Default Winter Corvette drive

SORRY FOR THE DUPLICATE THREAD, TRIED TO DELETE IT WITH NO LUCK.

Took the 65 out this evening with my Wife and Spanky the terrier and had a nice 55 mile drive to Eaton , Ohio to see their Christmas lights at Fort St. Claire.
Real nice large display.

Too bad that you couldn't put the top down.

Roger,
Tell me about your 57.
I'm building a 57 Gasser, Olds rear, straight axle, rear flares, roll bar, fenderwell headers and so on.
By the way, I like your album.

ohiovet,

My Vette has a 57 Olds with a 59 Pont. surtrac 31 spline about a 4.90.
It is way too low with the 4 speed and I am going to put in a 3.30's gear.

The springs are inboard and the rear cross member has been removed along with the X member. It has a new 2 X 4 member that goes through the spare tire hole. There are 1 1/2" angle irons welded on top of the frame to hold the tank and a flat plate welded across the bottom near the spring mounts.

I am thinking of installing a K member in place of the X.
I have 225 70 15's on the back with about 2 to 3" of space above the tires and they don't hit.

The car was built by the PO strictly for drag racing and everything that was not needed was removed, (heater, windshield wipers etc.)

Roger, that looks like an interesting car. I'd like to see more pictures of it before you change much about it.

I drag raced for years in Pro bracket and never saw a C1 at the track.

What kind of ignition box is that on the left wheel well?
