I emailed him last night and received a reply this morning, 64,65, and the 67 are sold.

I'm pretty sure that it's a private individual, that has been collecting them for years. A friend of mine, who deals in used Corvettes, had been negotiating to buy them all, about 6 months or a year ago. The way I understand it, the cars where all beautiful, and correctly restored. I think he just couldn't work out a deal, that he thought he could make enough on, considering how much money he'd be tying up.
