Default c2 hood swap

Hello, does anyone have hood clearance difference between stock 64 sbc hood and "other" c2 BB? hoods. Looking for a maximum difference to use for add on toys, lol.
Thanks,
Frank, in cold Chicago.

Frank,
I have a aftermarket BB 67 Corvette hood that I had on my 67.
Since it has the hood prop hardware on both sides it will fit all C2's from 63 to 67.
So since it has a "universal" hood prop location it I don't think there are any limitations, so this type hood will fit all C2's..

It is also for sale, if you are interested.

Thanks,
I need to know how much more under the hood clearance a bb hood has over a stock 64 hood. Does the "hump" on the hood provide inside space also.

Frank I had a single plane high rise with a 2 inch airfilter that just touched the hood. Went to after market 67 BB hood and replaced 2 inch filter with a 4 inch filter and have an 1/8 clearance. Based on that I would say you pick up 2 inches with 67 BB scoop area. Hope that is what you were asking.

Frank,
Our weather is like Chicagos so I won't b going to the garage until tomorrow.
Temp should get up to 10 or 15 degrees, so I should be ok.
I'll do some measurements and get them to you.

Frank,
Rough measurements indicate that with my repro 67 hood you gain about 2 1/2 inched in clearance in a area starting 16 inches back from the front hood rib. The raised ares is about 19 inches wide and 22 inches long.
I have attached a few pictures FYI.
I hope this helps.

Frank that is what I have on my car but it is Mass Flo EFI. Check to see what kind of air cleaner they recommend with the EFI system your looking at.

Frank I added the big block hood see post up above. Mass Flo is great. Purchased from Xplosive Performance. They are a forum sponsor.
The hood Bruce has for sale will do the job for you.

Frank Mass Flo is a port injection so has to have a return line. Rated at 1000 CFM. Engine is a L-79. Added EFI system, aluminum heads, and headers. EFI gives all the benefits of current daily drivers. Self learning, start up, fuel economy, ect
