Is that a custom chassis? It looks great. I didn't know that AME had a C2 chassis. Does it use their Mustang 2 suspension or the C5/6 arms and spindles?
Thanks,
Don

Hey Don Yes AME has the C2 but some things are missing so they dont advertise it like engine mounts trans mount and x member and body mounts they have kits for it to fab up but I ended up Fabing most of the stuff myself. As far as Mustang 2 Scott over at AME says please dont call ours that LOL he said ours is call Sport IFS and will handle as well if not better than the C5 C6. Pics coming soon.

Fabbed up Body Mount
Here I used a replacement captured nut for the rear body mount on top of the mount I fabbed not pictured is the rear mount but i made it removable to make it easy to get the body on and off. Ifyou have ever taken one of these bodies off you know thw bottom of the rear quarter hangs up we fixed that LOL
If you look on this pis at the front of the frame rails are the front mounts had to do a little trimming for the big *** sway bar but its strong and works perfect
Should make the back out of lexan thats to pretty to cover up LOL

Did that teddy bear help you through a particularly tense moment during the body drop?
I had AME subframe on a 69 Firebird. The ride quality etc was excellent. Looking forward to watching this build progress.

Melting Slicks
I am wondering about the lack of the X member. (not the trans crossmember)
I have a 57 that has the X removed along with the two front inside rails.
I notice that your frame looks about as mine does and I was going to replace the X, Now I wonder if I need it?

I couldnt tell you for sure the Art Morrison chassis is a lot wider than the older ones and designed to flex with the way the suspension is setup if the car is supposed to have it I would put it back that way the wat the engineers had intended just my 2 cents
