Default Spray Gun???

Has anyone seen or used one of these guns. It has an agitator built into the cup so you can spray metallics.

I just laid some metallic red down on a stang I'm fixing, and I've shot paint with an iwata and a sata, ( now i don't do this for a living, just a hobby that I'm still learning to master, but I'm pretty damn good) but you'd be hard pressed to beat an ingersall rand 210 gravity feed.. I've got two of them, one for clear and one for color, and the atomization of the fluid is top of the line for 100 bucks with a regulator.. To me, and once again, I'm no expert but this is the go to hobby painters gun..

On a side note, if shooting metallic paints, the movement of the gun will agitate enough to keep solids suspended in the fluid, and haze the last coat on from 20-25 inches away!! That eliminates tiger stripes.

Hope this helps..

No need for an agitator gun for metallics, now metalflake is a different matter! Iwata guns are damn expensive, as are Sata guns, I doubt that a casual painter would ever want to pay that much for a gun they only used every couple of years. Don't get me wrong, Iwata makes great guns, and I have one for clearcoats, as well as a couple of Sata guns, but they ain't cheap!

Thanks for the replies. I agree that for the one or two times a backyard painter would use them, these guns are expensive and wouldn't be worth it.

Sata and Iwata guns bring very good money in good used condition. Buy the gun, paint your car and then sell it on ebay. You will get a significant portion of your purchase price if it is clean and used for one car only.

My "go to" gun for the past couple years has been a Warwick 904H. without question the nicest gun in the price range, and darn close to the performance of the money guns. I got mine from Johnson supply for ~$125 + another $50 for a 1.4 cap set.
