Default rods and wheels

Did anyone catch last nights episode of rods and wheels? The shop owners buy a 64 coupe with 4 hacked quarters ,66 fender vents,66 big block hood, later model seats and I think no pillar vents for 12k. Nine days later it's a totally restored car with a 67 big block hood and they are asking 56k and end up selling it back to the guy that they bought it from for 47k. I wish these shows would stick to the story line of finding the car and go into a bit of what it takes to bring them back to life as opposed to the bs with deadlines and ncrs values after a spray can resto.

I watched it. What a crock of BS. I've been doing a body off for 1.5 years. If that car sold for 47K that means mine must be worth 70K when finished. That's entertainment now days.

All that you need to know about reality TV is that they have writers. It is all made up and in these car shows the writers are definitely have zero corvette knowledge.

What I DO NOT UNDERSTAND about these kinds of shows, is, WHY do people watch them in the first place???????????????
Are viewers REALLY that bored?

I watched it.

Miraculously, (TV drama) they sold it to the same guy that they bought it from, and it miraculously it some how ended up being a numbers matching car, and they miraculously made 7K from the deal.

Tom is right, I must be bored!

I was wondering that myself. I pointed those things out to my wife and she said "How can they do that"? I said.....It's TV dear....It's just TV. Like all the reality shows it not real.

Absolutely, though I call the viewers something other than bored.

The seller of this car was the real winner.
He sold the car for $12,000, bought a documented
numbers matching restored `64 corvette for
$47,000. Or a difference of $35,000.
Only on TV.
Need to see what they can do with my `64.

it was for 66-67 Chevelles and 67 Vettes

I turned the channel after they made a fender panel and grafted it on the car

Hello

I watched it and I don't remember them saying this was a matching number car?? They put a 327 and a 4 spd in it. I thought it looked decent this is a driver. It had a 67 big block hood on it..

I thought at least its back on the road and not sitting in this guy garage anymore. After he bought it back...

I like the show...After all it is a show!!

Default I was there at Pomona looking at it!

I also heard some of the conversation about it, but when the cameras weren't on it. I just thought it was a bunch of bullcrap artists with ignorance, but the car itself was decent looking. The 1967 hood and the Marina Blue did kind of cause me to walk over and look! Then I see the TV show! Interesting! Now I have put 2 and 2 together!

Also in a previous episode I saw a flared red C2 Vette in the background, so they must flip Corvettes!!!!!!! I had them out in AZ, but it looks like they are SF Valley now???????

The writers don't even know what matching numbers means. It's just Corvette jargon that they write into the script to make people think it's really the truth.
