Default Joe D's Restoration 65 white conv.

I have the restoration of this car on our Facebook page, but I thought you guys might be interested in it as well.

While this was not an easy restoration, it was with great pleasure to have the opportunity to work on this car. You see, this car was not only Joe’s first Corvette, it was his first car.

This job started out as a carpet installation and when Joe requested that we look under the dash for a leak… we’ll the pictures tell the tale.

On another note, while the car is at a show this weekend, it is not nearly finished. We did not have enough time for a shake down cruise.

So with that, please feel free to ask questions.

When Joe was 16 he purchased this car.. it was a repainted car, changed from white to blue and it was also a radio delete car.

Home coming for Joe..

On the beach..

Don't take those bumpers off Joe.. lol

WOW! Very nice work! Kudoos to Joe for hanging on to his first car!

DO like the white, original color. Seeing the antenna, does it now have a radio in the dash?

Great story. Congrats to Joe. Did you find the leak at the base of the windshield lower frame? Dennis

Jim, Thank you! We went back with the resto radio

I think is the neatest gadget in the land now. Its way smaller, has the original appearance, and it has a aux. jack so you can play your iPod or phone songs through the car. We also added a sound bar to the back of the car (which had clearance for the soft top). Both are minor modifications

Joe had cut a radio hole in the dash sometime in the 70's, and he wanted a nice stereo in the car. Looks like an original radio, works like a new one.

I really respect anyone or any shop that peels off the fiberglass in order to make a repair. Dennis

Thank you Blue.. For sure, it's not a job for everyone. Compounded by the fact that the reproduction windshield parts didn't become available until right after we were finished fabricating the parts needed.

The entire front end was replaced on this car. While the car didn't have any serious hits, there was enough prior repairs and damage to justify removing

Took this pic at the Casper car show last night.. When we get it back we'll take some really good pictures of it by the river.... if the weather is good.
