reproduction Rochester fuel injection
Does anyone make a reproduction of the Rochester fuel injection system? I would like to add one to a 65 (NOM) driver but don't want to spend what the real ones are bringing.

If there were reproductions, they would have brought prices of the originals down. There has been a reproduction distributor, but it sells in the approximate range of originals. To reproduce all the FI parts would be prohibitive.

I might suggest that you "rent" one. That is, buy a nice unit and use it. When, and if you decide that it is no longer wanted, sell it at that time and get your money back. You might gain a little or you might sell at a slight loss, hence the "rental fee."

Nope.
MANY of the individual parts, ESPECIALLY parts needed for rebuilding a complete unit, are reproduced. But NONE of the major parts, ie plenum, air meter, cone, fuel meter, etc, etc, are reproduced. It would be just too prohibitive.
I'm afraid you're only option is to locate a complete (or nearly complete) rebuildable unit.

If I am not mistaken, they only make this unit for vortec heads. Or at least that was the case when I last checked on one.

that was the case too when i looked at it a few years back...
their website is confusing:
Arizona Speed developed a very popular Superjet system for Vortech heads, available for Ramjet 350, ZZ4, ZZ5 and ZZ383 crate engines. This system provides the early Rochester look with all the features of electronic fuel injection. As an option, our custom "Drop Top" manifold is designed designed for early Corvettes and other applications with low hood lines. This manifold is available in either satin or polished finish.
BUT, the ZZ4 is definately not vortech heads....

might be worth the $$$ to me (even the Vortec part) if the originality was not totally compromised
