Default Got the split back, took a few pics...

Well after sending it to Scott's for a list of corrections, and an inadvertent few-week body off to straighten out that fuel line I got the car back this week.

Engine, interior, etc look quite a bit better. Plenty of sorting left to do, but getting closer.

I've always been partial to Daytona Blue - one of those colors that you either like or don't. Low horse air cleaner with the high horse valve covers....exactly what I'm running on my SWC. Don't care though I like the look ! Engine bay is sweet...

Rich ? 1:26am...insomnia buddy ?

It's great. I never saw that one.

I like the look of the aluminum VC's on a orange background too. Like the '59 I did over a few years ago.

Not insomnia....Just walked by the 'puter and punched it up and saw the DB beauty. Then I knew I couldn't get back to sleep, half awake dreamin' about our old SB Coupe.

Then I see the other post about pukin' radiators then the nightmares started again and wrote a novel.

Yeah my first split years ago, I didnt even consider DB, I wanted silver. Then this time around it had to be dark, a black or a DB. The more Daytona cars I saw, the more this color was the only one for me. Often it looks black until you get on top of it.

As I buy cars, I tend to get something I havent had. So, my last SWC was silver, knockoffs and completely correct looking 300hp with the painted valve covers (next owner got a Top Flight with it), this time I wanted a different color, hubcaps, etc. I just like these valve covers too much not to use them... 300 hp, with the script covers is a look I like. Not getting certified any time soon.

Very nice!

My guess is that non vet people will have no clue what the plate means. That's OK, keep em guessing.

Looks great I do like the plate. We understand that but I'm sure you get questions on it.

Lady at the DMVs head exploded when I asked for it. I finally told her it was an inside joke among collectors.

Of course, she thought with the age of the car, that I had accidentally moved the decimal point on the purchase price over too far...

You should have agreed with her and gotten the tax break
Or maybe you, in fact, did

Your car looks really really nice! I've got 15 minute video I need to put online of a DB SWC Cruising along the coast in Biloxi, MS. DB with tan interior is still on my short list of the colors I might be using on my SWC build next winter.

Oh, noooo. I used to investigate such things in a prior life, can't go there. I insisted she get the number right- she didn't believe me. She even said, you DO know what the tax is on that, right?
