Hey Bluestreak,
Planning on selling it, but I`m not sure who it is going to yet. I don`t think I would be fortunate enough to have this go to the new owner of the real car though. Thanks for your input!

So here is the interior. Did I capture it?

The actual car is very near me. If you need specific things looked at or photographed (within reason) I may be able to get you that information. The car is, as you would expect, immaculate and beautiful!

Oh wow! You are so fortunate! Do you know if the new owner ever tried to start it up? I would imagine since it is museum material, it will never see the road again.
I may take you up on that offer. I am still trying to sort through a couple under-hood details that I just can`t seem to find in my reference pictures.
Thanks!

Great work? If you haven't already, are you building the cover for the jack & storage area in the rear?

I do not know if it has been started but I might think so. I can ask. If you'll give me a list of photos, I will ask for permission to take photos. Under hood, interior, and exterior should likely be no problem, but I do not expect to be allowed to crawl around under it or such. Sorry. I'll do what I can.

I have seen them on more than one 68/69 L88.

Ah the one time I judged a 68 L88 I did interior. Thanks and that would explain why I never saw that tag in any mid year books

Actually, it was attached to the L-88 M-22 transmission fill plug; see the A.I.M., Section M20, sheet A1, View "A", item #3.

Hawk.....Your attention to detail is amazing.

You should be restoring a real L88!

Can't wait to see the completed model.

I think whoever bought the real one, saw your work on this model, they would buy it in an instant...I know I would.

By the way, how come the clock doesn't work?

Does anyone happen to have a picture of this? I did an image search on Google, and everything looks pretty close to what I have here, except for the straps which I hope to add soon. Am I missing something?
Thanks!

I appreciate it! I think I only need a shot of the passenger side engine compartment so I can see the coolant connections and the way the battery is wired, as well as the drivers side so I can see the details and any markings on the steering box and shafts. I think a picture of the labels on the radiator would be helpful too. A pic looking back toward the firewall would help me with the wiring. If you are able to do this, I gotta find a way to return the favor though! It would be a big help.

If anyone has information on the upper a-arms, it would be appreciated. I just realized I don`t have any reference pictures with them, and they are visible in the engine compartment. After doing a google image search, it looks like they are gloss black with a steel colored rod, silver bolts and end washers?

they were painted gloss black as a assembly. that means the cross shaft and washers were black.
