Default 67 Ride Height

67 rear sitting lower than front by 1". All cushions, springs and shocks fairly new and in good shape.
Attempted to adjust the rear spring bolts, however only the leaf spring arc changed, not the height. I then assumed the front at
27 1/2" is not correct height and needs to be lowered?
Before I attempt to raise rear by adding washers, appreciate some help and advise:

1- Correct Ride Height?
2- Process to lower front? Control Arm bolt?

Thanks..

First, what size tires do you have? How many miles on the car? Do you know if the rear fenders have ever been damaged requiring replacement. The front is not adjustable. The proper location to measure ride height is from four points on the frame, two on each side. From the top of each side body mount minus the rubber cushion should be 15 1/4 inches. The rear is measured from the top of the end of the rear frame on each side and should measure 21 5/8 in. The front is measured from the bottom of the end of the front frame rail and measures 14 3/8 in. Hope this helps. Dennis

Thanks for the info. Don't know of any damage. 56k on car, standard new radial tires. Will do measuring based on your suggestions and if all ok do you then suggest adding washer(s) to rear spring bolts to raise rear? Other forums have noted this being the right course of action..thanks.

You didn't say the size of the tires. I guess you are measuring from the center of each wheel opening. Make sure the car is on level surface, tire pressure is correct and equal. How much gas in the tank. With the car sitting normal does the spring arch upward away from the center? A weak and/or worn out rear spring can be shimmed with washer, new bolts with full length threads can be used and no washers, but that is only a bandade to the real problem. The spring should be replaced. Dennis

This recent thread should offer some insight, if not an exact answer.

205/75R15 tires with correct pressure. Gas tank regardless of level, not a contributing factor with rear sitting 1" consistently. Measuring from level surface..will look at the springs and the recent thread posted above provides a great deal of insight..thanks.
