Default 1964 ammeter issue

Hello

I have had some issues with my ammeter not working correctly. Does anyone know how many ohms I should read with a meter when checking across the two ammeter terminals. I have the wiring unplugged from the gauge.

Thanks

What matters is what voltage you read separately on each of the two wires (black and black/white) while disconnected from the gauge; you should read battery voltage on each wire, key on or off. Tell us what you have and we'll go from there.
