1963 327 340HP oil slinger?
I have a 63 340HP 327 that I am working on. In my 1963 Corvette shop manual on page 6-21 under Timing chain or Sprocket replacement. The first line states to remove crankshaft oil slinger. I do not remember taking one off, nor did I find one in my shop. Is it possible the oil slinger is not used in the 340HP engine? Maybe just on the 250 and 300 HP engines? Thanks

Not that it's important but 1958 sticks in my mind as the last year the slinger was used.
