Nice. Engine compartment sure is crowded looking! Is that a 289?

WOW that is a nice looking Tiger and no rust very rare. I worked on several of them back in the 70's and most of them had lots of rust! A real sleeper in it's day and still will get unknowing peoples attention. Great buy.

Nice (re)find. Good that you snagged it this time, those things have gone up in value from what I've seen.

Hard to call that one rough, IMO, given the condition of most I have seen, and that age.

Good score.

IIRC that will be a 260. Great car.

Often called "the poor man's Cobra"...
They were great "sleepers" as they were barely distinguishable from a regular Sunbeam at night at a stop light - to the surprise of more than a few red-light racers that strapped them on.

The Series I had the 260 and the Series II (relatively rare) had the 289...
I nearly bought one at Daytona Turkey Run years ago but it had rust issues and was over priced to boot.

Don Adams drove a red 65 in Get Smart. He said the same thing. "Missed it by that much!"

Wow, that's pretty cool. That seems like a small car for a V8.
So were they made in USA?

Be careful there Paul, you're getting the "just one more" car syndrome! Next is a new house with a bigger garage for all the toys.
I always thought the tigers came with a hood scoop for clearance, and that was the easiest way to ID them on the road?
BRG as well.......well done!

Fast forward to a few months back, I saw a small local add for a Tiger, after calling I was able to confirm it was the same car!
Drove it home today, it's in a bit rougher shape than it was eight years back, it has basically sat since then and will need some sorting and TLC, but it's still all original and all there right down to the Autolite 2100 sitting on it's original 260
Rare to find an original Tiger that hasn't been hotrodded cut-up or molested, looking forward to getting it back up to snuff as a nice driver!

Had 57 Chevy in high school Installed 1968 327 from junk yard engine low miles installed Carter AFB on 4 barrel manifold.Used to race this car every Friday night . The
light weight of this car always pulled a half car on my heavy Chevy.

I know pictures can be decieving but that looks like a very nice car. I remember one or two of those running around our streets of Overland Park KS when I was a teenager - they were pretty cool. Sort of a slightly more civilized Cobra alternative.
