Early 1956 Wiper Motor switch cable hookups
I have an early 1956 with the "924" wiper motor which has the switch cable and Bowden cable from the washer foot pump running to it. Since these items weren't in the car prior to restoration I have nothing to go by in how they work or hook up position wise. Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks 1955 Copper!!! This picture doesn't show me the componets needed. How is this setup different from the 1956 2nd design? Which position does the wiper switch cable go?Help!!!

The 924 motor is correct for your car per the 5th Edition NCRS 1956-57 Corvette Judging Guide, page 77. What are you using for a reference that doesn't show it?

Hi JohnZ,
Thanks for your response. I have been told by a regarded C1 parts source that in 1956 corvettes up through serial number 130 used the left over 5407799 wipe we motor from 1955. My car is serial number 80 and I am just trying to document this.

The #7799 is correct for your early #80 1956. Every NCRS issue JM I read there are items that are ether wrong or missing info about 55 to early 56 and when you bring it up! NCRS die-hard will insult you . So like you said older Corvette people know ! That's why NCRS has so many re-issue JM's on each year Corvette. When the first JM came out owners changed parts on their Corvette in the parking lot to meet the NCRS JM then after judging put the correct parts back on. ( and it's still done today)
Cant wait to read response to this calling me a A** H***
The 924 motor is correct for your car per the 5th Edition NCRS 1956-57 Corvette even (Z) is careful in his statesman

That may be true, but there's no mention of it in the JG - I'd suggest you contact the '56-'57 National Judging Team Leader, John St. Peter (contact info on the inside front cover of the "Restorer") and run it by him.

I must be doing something wrong!
Hi Folks,
I must be doing something wrong! I can't get the wiper switch to return properly. Does one or both of the cables pull it back to the off position? Do both cables have the ability to pull the metal switch back to "off"? Help, I am confused!!!
Thanks,
Rick
