Default 63-4 Owners: sill plates?

I have incorrect 6 hole sill plates on my '63. I was looking at putting on a set of correct 4 holes on there, and I was suprised that the holes are more towards the center than I thought. I assumed they would be on the edges like the outside hole location on the 6 hole later version.

Anyone with 1963 or early 64 cars with the 4 hole sills have any issues with the ends of the sills lifting up? It seems Chevy made this change for a reason.

I never had any "trouble" but I have a set or two of them and the ends are bowed up a little. I don't think the ones on my '63 convertible are bowed but it isn't here and I can't look.

My 64 has the original 50 year old sill plates. No problems with them.

My '63 still has her original 4 hole sill plates.

The ends are perfectly square and tight to the body......just like new.
