how do I change the battery in a 65 stingray with factory air??

remove the drivers side tire and wheel and set aside remove all the bolts on the access door. remove door. remove cables, remove hold down. replace battery. I think that in the owners manual

It can also be done with the tire and wheel still on the car…..but you will need to jack up the car frame so that the wheels hang down to provide adequate clearance to remove the battery. Turn the wheels in/out for best access. I have done it this way a few times.

Nowhere Man's advice is easier in the long run, but it can be done with the wheels still on the car.
