If the pin holes were rust spots it would be the first Fiberglass Corvette Body to rust that myself or anyone else would know about. That is kind of like sticking a magnetic advertising sign on a Corvette body for a parade. Just don't work real well.

Groovyjay if you were able to do that in the Sea Foam Green you should be able to do mine in the Crystal Red Metallic that I am going to pint me car in. Could you or would you do that for me please. I am not a computer person and would have no idea on how to do it. Jay, I think you are going to have to have one of these. Besides you left the steering wheel and seats red.

Jack it is not in paint yet but as soon as it goes to the paint shop I will be there taking pic and sending them to Black Magic (George) and having him post the pic on the site that he was so nice to make and setup for this build. There will not be to much done this week because we will be at Corvettes at Carlisle and I have friends over from Austria that I will be showing around. But when I sneak in a day now and then I will take pic and we will be working on the car more then one day a week now to meet the deadline or having the car at the NCRS Winter Regional's in Lakeland FL. this coming Jan 2015. Just keep watching the web site that Black Magic built to see changes and upgrades on the car.

While I certainly agree that the fastback body style - not to mention the roll-up windows and real door handles - would have helped the 1954-55 Corvette in the sales department, it was that V-8 engine that was the game-changer. Mike's 1954 Corvair is going to show just how nice the car could be. I think his choices of equipment to make it a comfortable driver are smart, although it would have been difficult for even GM to make the car the way Mike is making it today. The motor, transmission and A/C he will be using take it to another level. Can't wait to see the finished product, and we all appreciate the updates . . . Knowing full well that we have NO IDEA how much work has been involved in the build.

The car will first make its appearance at the NCRS Winter Regionals in Lakeland FL. this coming January 2015.
Fyreline you are correct in saying all the thought and work that has went into building this car. Some people may say it is easy and we should have been done long ago but when you work on it 1 day a week or less and you have to design and make molds and then make parts for everything, well all I have to say if it was easy everyone would do it and I don't know of anyone designing and making all there own body panels and installing them to build a car anything like this one. At one time I was wondering if we could build it but now that we can see the finish line all this hard work has been well worth it. Just think to have a car that you have always wanted and that know one else has and know one else is making, it is a dream come true for me.
