Very nice documented car that will probably sell for their estimate. It would be a very nice car to own.

Question: Why would you restore a survivor/bowtie car?

I missed where it says its a survivor/bowtie, also confused why it is claimed to be a one owner when clearly it is at least a two owner?

I didn't see that it says survivor either. I think it said 1 owner till 2011 still titled in original owners name.

The new buyer will probably need to send the FI unit out for repair.

Ad is too suggestive for validation of the estimated price,

Default what if it were a 5 star or 4 star bowtie car

Would it make a difference if it were a real ncrs certified 4 star or 5 star car?

The estimate is interesting. It's probably correct but it just makes me wonder why these cars haven't taken off in price. The domestic market seems flat right now while the Euro market is on fire. Just look at Porsche prices this week in Monterey.

This is the big week for the auction houses. At the end of the week we'll have a pretty good idea where the market is headed. Everyone is expecting a huge influx of cash into the market. Expectations may be too high. We'll see.

Right now this '58 seems to be a good buy at the current estimate.

Their guesstimate is pretty good. It truly depends on who is there and if a bidding war will ensue. If it were a '57 i think this would be a very hot car drawing much more attention. Nevertheless, its gorgeous. I think it could go a bit higher, between 140,000 - 150,000.

My 58 is a charcoal and silver fuelie with a charcoal interior. The picture of that car motivates me to the max. Cant wait to get my car completed.

Default Solution for wanting a one Owner Corvette!

Find the first Owner, get the paperwork in hand, make them disappear, then assume their identity, then shred all subsequent documentation, and lie with a straight face!

'58s sell for more than similar cars, not less.

'58s have traditionally been strong. It's the art deco thing.

This may have been what I refer to as a story car. Once you start explaining your description the price is going down. The best cars do not have to be explained.

No stories on this car.. I went through the documentation. Original dealer invoice, original loan documents, original very first proof of insurance issued to car Original title.. All dates on those docs corresponding..chassis completely restored correct markings on all the fasteners, frame part number stenciled on frame.correct inspection marks on chassis components. Original keys. I don't see how it gets any better than this. All docs from new all original drivetrain rare color combo. Nice body work and paint. Both tops. If you want a 58 fuelie this has to be one of the most documented ones around.
