Default Paint choice????

So I tried to find out what color the car once was. Still not sure.

I want a black hard top and black in the side tear drop but the main color I'm not sure yet. here are my choices. Please let me know your thoughts, or color choices.

1-White with Black in the side and hard top

2-Gun Metal Grey with black

3-The whole car Gun Metal Grey (Cyber Grey Metallic)

4-Newer Corvette Blue. (Laguna Blue)

Default Rear cross member

How do I remove and replace the crossmember on the back of the frame? There is 2 rivets on each frame rail. Seems to welded in the front. Is there a thread on this? Has anyone done this and has good pictures? Thanks guys.

Default rolling chassis done!

So it's been a while since I've posted. The motor is done! the frame has been painted and all new brake lines ran with the upgraded front big brake kit installed.

Two tone in an article somewhere where the top was like black or silver and the body was the opposite. I think they matched the coves to the top. If I remember were that car was faetured, I can put up a picture!

I vote
1-White with Black in the side and hard top

I think a modern paint color or combo would clash with the definite 60s vibe the body mods carry.

An old school white/black color combo, reminiscent of post #15, would look cool on your historic racer.

I think he meant to say measure twice, cut once.

That color is bad azz on your C1. Another member has a C2 coupe restomod with a similar color...wicked bad azz, as well. That color just looks good on the early Corvettes. Keep up the terrific work!!

I've always thought Chevy should have used the XP700 front end for 1961 and '62. But even pre-Nader, the missing front bumper might have made insurance even MORE expensive.
