It is an early car. Look at the driver side front frame area. Does it look like it's kinked? This car is a major money pit, a very bad one. I would keep my distance if I were you or anybody else. Dennis

And the roof portion of the birdcage has been hacked off. By the time you made that into a solid birdcage and body again, you would have somewhere around 30,000 in it and that's if you could purchase it for around the current bid. By the time you located the missing trim, etc. you would have another 12,000 minimum.
Clearly the VIN tag has been removed at some point since it should be spot welded in place, but is now riveted on with cheap hardware store units.
I'd say this is a 100,000 dollar car if you did all the work yourself.

If you look at the driver's side rocker panel, it looks like there is a body mount hole there. IIRC, only convertibles had a body mount there. May also explain the missing roof bird cage issue.
I think this was a convertible being converted to a coupe.

I am not saying you are incorrect on the convertible/coupe switch however my November 62 built 63 coupe had the body mounts there. Remember that 63's (at least early build 63's) were rigid mounted to the chassis. The only rubber cushions were at the inboard floor mounts.

Looks like a vert to me
Body mounts, behind the seat door pillar panel mounts, looks like the rear hatch drip rail and hinges are still there , I don't see any remnants of Sebring silver paint 941A, so besides riveted Vin, I am not sure about the trim tag either.....that car has been through the mill and enjoyed!

The frame is shot, the birdcage is gone and all the expensive one year only parts are missing.
Please do yourself a favor and look for a better candidate

Judging by the structure of the top of the latch pillars, it was a coupe and not a convertible.

That would be an enormous mistake! If you had a spare split window cage that needed a VIN, then i could see this as a wise investment. Other than that, this is a waste of time and money for anybody to attempt to restore.
