1963 AFB tag - what info needed?
I am looking at getting a correct Carter AFB for my 63, 300hp 4 speed. My car is a second week of May 63.
From reading the Judging Guide it states the "3461S" is on the right front vertical face with a date code. Would a March carb ("C3") be okay and is that the only date info stamped on the carb?
It doesn't have the triangular aluminum tag. I know Paragon sells them - are there other sources I should go to?
What other info along with the date should appear on this tag?
Is it the same date code "C3" along with the carb #3461S. The picture on page 85 of the Judging manual has a #7..... that is difficult to read.
Any info to help me get it right would be appreciated.

2 to 6 weeks prior to your build date is typical. Judging gives full credit up to 6 months prior.
The tag has the carter number, corresponding GM number and a date code like a3, b3, c3, d3 although they may only be dated on the carb. base.
