Default Dana rear end

Wanting to swap my 1963 4.11 for a 3.70 Dana rear end. It is a nice condition 3rd member but has the big pinion flange. Can I remove my 4.11 flange and put on the 3.70 or are the splines different? I can buy an offset universal joint to fit but not sure if there is a difference in the flange lengths that might cause a problem with drive shaft length. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have not bought the unit yet so i am just trying to get it figuered out first..thanks, Lonzoo

Nope, the spline count is different - yours is 17, and the later one has 30. Use a conversion U-joint (1310/1330).
