Woe With Me. Need to Repair Birdcage
Plenty of posts on birdcage repairs but I didn't see exactly what I want to know. That is - which bonds do I have to separate. Does one have to start at the front and dismantle each panel like a giant jig-saw puzzle or can you remove the front almost as a one-piece front clip? And then piece-meal from there?

You can see quite a lot of the upper half, if you remove the windshield, all the inner trim holding the headliner in, plus
The halo, the glove box and the kick panels etc.
That should give you an idea of the extent of it, which might not be that bad.
Good luck

Here is a good guide:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...storation.html
Steve has taken his '65 down to the individual nuts and bolts, including a complete removal of the body from the birdcage. It's a lot of work and not for the faint of heart.
I would also recommend that you get the cleanest copy of the AIM for your car as is possible.
Good luck.

Steve's work is huge. Problem is that he started to strip panels off due to the flares. With mine, I just need to get to the birdcage as easily as possible.
Maybe I'll drop him a PM.

Burning Brakes
Just for what it's worth, I bought one of those small inspection cameras and it was a great tool for this. I was able to get into almost all of the usual birdcage rust areas. It might save you a lot of time and effort if you can confirm an area is OK.
Good luck,

I dunno, you can buy a one-piece front clip and put it on. Now it seems to me that you should be able to remove the original front as if you needed to remove the one-piece clip.
