Default Wiper blade/arm on a 66

I leave in 3 days on a trip. I just realized that my wiper blades are at least 15 years old. I have tried a couple of auto parts places with no luck. I have pretty much the correct arm/blade assembly on my car and would like to get just get the replacement blade - all they want to sell these days is a complete assembly with an attachment point that doesn't attach to my arm. I know I can order and get next week. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck walking in somewhere and picking something up that would work? Rain isn't expected where Im going, but this is the Pacific NW and they have trouble predicting night fall around here.

I don't remember for sure but, I think I got a set from AutoZone. I'd pull off one of the blades (refill) and bring to a parts store, its just a 12" blade someone should have them. A NAPA may even be a better place to look. It wont be cheap, but as a last resort you could have a pair over-nighted from Zips, $12.00 a pair but shipping will probably be double that. Good luck.

In a pinch you can go buy the whole arm from any car and take the blade out and make it work for your arm. You might have to cut it down or switch clips, but I bet it will work for you.

I also vote for NAPA. I just replaced the blades on my '66. They had the right blades/arms that lock onto the little peg on the wiper arm.

Actually, the inserts (originally Trico RF-15) are 15" blades.

C1's have 12" blades.
