A couple of weeks later with the 2 maroon C1's (Frankie's and the other Mark's) in the middle and the people looking at all 4 cars were pretty even.

I like the Nash the best. the white top really sets it off.

I do great in shows..Usually first place unless I have to compete with c2's then it's anybody's guess. But there's a difference between a correctly restored Vette & a "People's Choice" popularity vote.

....funny, my first car at age 13 was a 59 Rambler American just like that. Seats went flat into a bed.

Beautiful car. I don't have a red car but I wouldn't mind one like your 56 at all,

Silver paint with red interior also looks nice. My wife had an '86 XJ6 with that combo (although Connolly Hide leather is darker, approaching maroon).

Sorry Mick...C-1's did not have any paint codes...In fact all of the paint colors used on the C1 Corvettes were simply referred to in their generic name with one exception. The '55 model year used actual code numbers for the paint color.

Default Favorite Colors

Personally, I'm partial to Cascade Green - that's what I'm planning to use when I do mine. My second favorite is white with red coves, a little more subtle version of the red car. That Fawn Beige with white was very sweet looking, though.

(Neither of these is mine, sadly.)

I believe this second one is currently for sale by a forum member.

How about a red hardtop to match the coves and wheels? Talk about coordinated!

If you are looking for FAWN paint I purchased mine from TCP which I used for the interior that was already fawn but needed to be repainted due to age.
