What are your plans for the car? Drive it? Show it? NCRS?

Very nice work, I love your description of the process, its challenges and how persistence pays off. You have really captured the passion and commitment that we share in this hobby. Brian

Blackvette58.
Great job on your car.
As I was reading your short story I couldn't help but think that sure sounds a lot like me. The further down I read the more I realized you were not only describing yourself but everyone of us that enjoys working on our cars with all the foibles and follies we endure yet persevere i.e. the screw that disappeared into the black hole on the garage floor - love that, it happens often. Plus all the emotions you described - I've experienced them all as well.
Once again beautiful job on a beautiful car.

I love the tailpipes. Your pipes stick out past the bumper the same as mine. I've always wondered what was the correct length.

Amazing and wonderful job!
I too am in the beginning of a 1960 restoration and like you i am mostly cluless but a good craftsman. Your story is wonderful and the car is absolutly beautifu! As i sat last night trying to salvage a 1960 Mississippi car tag with a dremel tool to some day put on my Vette i wondered why i was spending countless hours on a tag for a car that is in a complete mess right now....Well now i know.
Thanks Richard for the inspiration..

ooooohhhh... that is nice... start a new thread! I am sure BlackVette58 would chime in and offer any advice.
I too have never turned a wrench before, but just completed a body on restoration of my 67 Convertible. I have been amazed at how much fun working on them can be.
Best of luck!
