Check the restor on top of the heater box

On my 63, likely the same as yours, the high speed goes from the switch right to the blower. Low and med run to the resistor on top of the heater box under the hood. One wire is low, one is med and the other takes the power to the blower motor.
You could yank off the three way plug on the resistor and check for power from the switch. No power? Switch issue. Power? Either resistor is bad or line to blower. You could bridge the power line to the blower line and see if the blower line is good. If so, it's your resistor.

It's going to be the resistor at the heater box or connections bad there.

The resistor should be under the hood on the outside of the heater box. Easy access.
Anytime I have had to access the switch inside, the side panel on the dash is all you need to remove.
