Default Best tire recommendations for 1967 Corvette

Can anyone make a recommendation for the best tire choice for the C2 corvette? I bought some Bridgestone Redline radials from Coker tires at Corvette Carlisle a few years ago and have been disappointed with the flat spots. Perhaps they were sitting in their truck for too long. Unfortunately they're past there warranty period. I'm debating just trying to selectively replace the one or two really bad with replacements red lines or simply by all four late model blackwall (like the Michelin Defender). Current tire size is P205/75R15. If I replace all four I'll probably switch over to P215/70R15 as there are more options.

I just bought the Michelin Defenders for my 65. They are great. Only took 1.5 ounces of weight for all four tires. I bought Diamond Back red lines.

I got rid of my Coker yellow lines on my '66 and bought black wall Michelin Harmony 215/70/15. I guess it depends on the car color.

Wow! Thanks so much for both of the quick replies. I take it that there was no clearence issue with the P215/70/15 tire size?

Diamond Backs 215/70. Red, Black, Gold, Blue. Just great people. No comparison to Corky Coker. My original Red Walls went shades of Brown. Coker advised me to clean them with a good cleaner like Simple Green. Never Again.....

Are either 215/70R15 or 215/75R15 acceptable for a C2?

I would stick with the 215/70R15...the 215/75R15 may be a shade too tall and give you some fender interference on sharp turns. Plus, the 70 series puts a little more rubber on the ground.

You can't go wrong with the Michelin 215/75R15s. I got mine at Cotsco.

Thanks. Need to stick with US brands for NCRS judging.
