Default Camshaft recommendations for juicy 283???

I'm doing an engine swap soon and was wondering about adding an interesting cam before the swap. Its a poor man's 302.... 283 with a 327 crankshaft, .060 over I think. 461 heads, clone 2x4s. Does anyone make a cam like the 097 in a hydraulic version??? What have y'all installed that you liked???

I used a CompCams 270H hydraulic cam in my 283 rebuilt. The specs are very close to the 097 Duntov cam and the 151 L79 cam. With 3.70 rear gears, it is a sweet combo

In 2001 I built a period correct 283 for my white 61 and I installed Seal Power's version of the 151 hydraulic cam.
I have put many hard miles on it and I haven't had any problems with this combination.
It idles with a slight lope, has 15" vacuum and runs excellent.
You can not beat GM cam designs.

Runs very well, put it in and forget it. No fancy oils, etc.

A 283 with a 327 crank is a 307, not a 302.
a 302 is a 327 with a 283 crank.

I put a 327/350 horse cam in my mild built 283 about 40 years ago still running it. I don't know what the number of the cam is.The car goes very good, have been very happy with it.BILL
