Default Chevrolet special equipment parts

In 1960´s Chevrolet Special equipment parts program seems interesting. I have tried to find more info of it, but I did not find any good info. So does anyone here remember this parts program and what was in those catalogs? Were there headers, cam shafts and that kind of parts or something else? If any of you have catalog from 1965 - 67 it would be nice to see at least copy of few pages of it.

Default I have one, and they aren't that rare

They reprinted them and someone in the modern offers it for sell for about $15 or so. It just has a listing of the Heavy Duty parts (blocks, Crankshafts, etc) with some general parts illustrations with the typical Group numbers. I have a few of those stickers also and fly them on my cars!

Here is the back of my Father's DANA Chevrolet car (he was sponsored by Cone getting free parts, so he likes wearing their plate frame) with at least one sticker that we are are talking about that I like, that he stole from my collection (actually quite a few of those were stolen by him from my stuff!). Yes he likes stickers, YUCK!! Maybe i should photoshop all but three of them off of the car. Leave the Special Chevrolet Equipment, the GRA, and the SCCA ones only!

One car and my old Z-28 have/had alot of those parts numbers, but my 1964 has mostly GM Bowtie goodies that evolved from that initial catalog. Essentially the same thing!

There was a heavy duty parts list published in the late '60's. May have continued after that. Don't know. I have a couple sheets of it but I know there is more.

It is a fairly thin catalog from GM with an engine on the front cover!

Here are two later ones. The one on the left is from 1976 the one on the right is from 1984. The program in the seventies was called "Chevrolet Product Promotional Engineering" There was an 800 number you could call and talk to a real person.

I rememer drooling over this pamphlet in the early sixties, dreaming of the things I could do with my '59. I think I know where it is - I'll have to look when I get home.

One of the underground muscle car mags reprinted the GM performance parts catalog. I got the part number for a Nascar style plenum cold air system that I put on my `67 SS396. The local parts department had never heard of such a thing and when I picked it all the partsmen came over to see it. The catalog listed an amazing assortment of gear sets. 4.30's, 4.33's, etc. and they were available in several Rockwells to suit the application. I think it was `69 when they had a huge price increase in performance parts. L-88 cams went from $26.40 to almost $40, lifters went from 50 cents to 85 cents, etc..

This is a page from a 52-page loose-leaf Chevrolet parts pamphlet dated 11-16-70. Title is "Sport Equipment." It is an early version of the above Chevrolet Power soft-cover books.
It has detailed instructions on how to replace the liners on a ZL-1 aluminum block (1969) and some details about the new small-block 400 (1970).

Default My favorite is the pages in the power catalog

With the full Greenwod Race car flared body panels with GM part numbers. If I get a chance I might dig that out!
