Default Need headers for zz502 in 65 conv.

OK - I'm stumped. What's the deal with the ZZ502 exhaust fitting the standard side pipes??? Does anyone know where you can buy the headers, custom make them, etc.? I really like the look of the original side pipes but if I have to give them up, what would be a good alternative?

THANKS!!

I used headman headers for side pipes, the only thing I had to do was make some mods with a grinder where the head bolts just touched the headers on the mounting flange.

If you have the $ and the time , KOOKS Custom headers ( I believe now in No. Carolina ) are the best , used to be in N.Y. , made headers for my race car , work of art for sure

We can build a set, but would need the car here on Long Island.

Sanderson made the headers for the 502 we installed in our 67 Vette. That was many years ago and the first set they had made.

The model number is "BB5MV" and ceramic coating is available which I would recommend. From their web site the cost is $525.

Their header matches the exhaust port shape and the flange cleared the head bolts fine. We had to make a connector pipe from the header collector to the side exhaust which wasn't that difficult.
