Cleaning Aluminum Intake

I wash it in my heated parts washer, dry it ,glass bead it with FINE ,clean glass beads. After I very gently go over them with a fine scotch pad with liquid dawn detergent then blow dry it with compressed air. Aluminum intake will look new but not "FAKE".
On small block intakes I remove the TIN cover on the bottom side before prep and then tap the 4 holes where the rivits were and install 10/24 screws with Loctite as I don't trust new rivits in old holes.
Just my opinion. Hope this helps. Steve Big-machine.com

I don't want to remove the intake from the engine. want to do it in place.
